At Patera, making a positive and sustainable impact forms the basis of everything we do. We are a responsible business and one that is committed to making a lasting difference.

There are several ways in which we do this. We promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and treat our employees with respect.

Moreover, we ensure that all our business decisions are ethical, and in the best interests of the people who work for us and those we work for. Patera actively helps the local community and partakes in charitable events to support causes close to our heart.

We also understand that the work we do can affect the environment. Thus, we make every effort to be eco-conscious and reduce our carbon footprint.

Here’s how we’re helping to make a positive impact…

corporate social responsibility

Going green.

The e-fleet is part of plans to reduce carbon emissions from our operations within Pater Engineering Limited. These will be especially beneficial for our current and future London, Cambridge and Oxford sites.

We are looking forward to adding more electric vehicles to our fleet over the coming years as we aim to lessen our impact on the environment.

Uganda project

Volunteer work to help the people and communities of Uganda.

Patera works with a customer to support schools and hospitals in the Ugandan village of Katwadde.

We’ve received support from local schools in Stoke-on-Trent as part of this project – Birches Head Academy and Excel Academy.

Annual Golf Day

Raising funds for local girl, Olivia Harding.

Take part in our Annual Charity Golf Day

Since 2018, Patera has held an Annual Charity Golf Day. This fun (and somewhat competitive) event is to raise funds for Olivia Harding.

‘Liv’ was involved in a serious road accident where she sadly lost part of her leg. Consequently, she will need a prosthetic leg for the rest of her life.

We, therefore, decided to try and raise as much money as possible, so Liv didn’t have to worry about the cost of a new prosthetic.

Thanks to the support of our wonderful customers and suppliers, we raised an amazing £11,000 in 2018/2019.

Covid-19 restrictions prevented the Golf Day going ahead in 2020 and 2021. But we came back bigger and better in 2022 at Trentham Park Golf Club.
